Time to Order Celtic Sea Salt

November 25, 2009

I am beginning to hear from some of you that you are out or almost out of Celtic sea salt.

I WILL be ordering Celtic Sea Salt before the end of the year.  Please let me know by December 2 if you want to order some this year.  Price is $5.50 per pound with a minimum of 2 pounds.  I would recommend you order a year’s supply because that is about as often as I can order and get the best price for all of us. Last December we got 165 pounds!

I used to purchase my Celtic Sea Salt from New Leaf Market in 1 pound bags and it was around $12.00/lb.  By ordering online, combining quantities and sharing the shipping costs (salt is heavy by weight) the cost per pound is $5.50/pound.  I order the fine, which is still thicker than most regular sea salt.

If you want to learn more about why Celtic Sea Salt, read this article about the benefits of Celtic Sea Salt at Pacific Health Center.  After you do you’ll see why I recommend the Salt Cleanse for sinus congestion and to better protect you and your family from the flu (perfect for this time of year).

Description:  These organic sea salts* are from the prestigious salt ponds of Guérande France are completely natural and unrefined.  These salts are harvested using traditional Celtic methods.  The beautiful grey color that comes from the clay lined salt ponds that the seawater is evaporated in.  The exceptional French clay in these ponds adds valuable minerals and nutrients that add to both the nutritional value and flavor of these fine salts.  These salts are never blended always 100% pure sea salt from Guérande France.

*These salts are certified organic by France’s Nature & Progrés. This is the most rigorous salt certification process, which equates to purity and quality.

Please let me know if you want some salt and how many pounds NO LATER THAN Decmeber 2nd.  Any questions, let me know.

Need Some Coconut Oil?

November 25, 2009

If you want a gallon of the Nutiva Virgin Cold-Pressed COCONUT OIL, please let me know, by 11/30.  Price is $51/gallon.  I placed an order on Monday for 4 gallons to get a better price and free shipping.  If you order less than 4 gallons it runs $55/gal.  The first two or three to respond get the extra gallons.

This oil is wonderful in place of olive oil (or worst forms of oil/butter) in recipes and especially good for cooking at high temps.  I now use this when making my bread and other baked goods.  Actually I use it for everything except making salad dressings.  It is great as a skin moisturizer too!
